Grow and

Shall
Become
Shadows
Of
Ourselves.
We may grow
In the light,
But the shadows
Are only
Steps
Behind.
Never let your past
Dictate
Your
Future
Or
Present.
We may present
Ourselves
With opportunities
To
Dwell
On the past,
But all we end up doing
Is finding
Ourselves
Fighting with
It
Too.
We can learn
So
Much from
The past,
But we must never
Forget
That
We are living
In the
Present.
Let your shadows
Be remnants
Of what used to
Be,
Not a circle
Of who you
Become
Again.
You see,
Your shadow
May follow you,
But you don’t
Have
To
Follow
It
Back
To the
Past.
We all become
Ghosts,
But whether
It’s while
We’re still
Here,
Or
Barely
There,
Is the real
Test
Of whether
We chose
The
Shadow
Or
The
Shade.
