What's your story?

Archeologists Or Excavators

Archeologists Or Excavators

How do

We build

A world

For our

Future

When we live

In the present

And

Try

To

Comprehend

The

Past?

Life is

Nothing

But

The

Past,

Present,

And

Future.

The past is a

Snapshot

Of the way

Things

Were.

The present is the glimpse

Of how

Things

Are.

And the future

Is nothing

But

Speculation

Of

What

Could

Be.

Why is it then,

We try to understand

Them

All

At

Once?

Is our recollection

Of what came before

A true

Collection

Of real

Stories

That can

Be

Told

With

Certainty?

Is our present

State

Of

Being

What it should

Be?

How do we know the future

If it

Hasn’t

Yet

Arrived?

I wonder how

Many

Crystal

Balls

Were

Right.

What magic

Would it be

If the future

Was nothing

But our present,

Recycled

For

Generations

To

Come?

Is it that we’ve

Mastered

The art of

Living

Sustainably

If we can live

For

Centuries?

Or has the world

Evolved

Into

A resilient

Existence

Where our human

Decisions

May only

Scratch

The surface

Off

What the world

Once was?

As we peel

Back the layers

Of the

Earth

That existed

Well before

Our

Personal

Existence

As

Humans of

This century,

What we may find

Is it has shed

Some

Skin

In the

Game

Of

Life

That we see

Before

Us.

Our presence

Is

Key

To ensure

We

Enable

The future

To

Exist.

How we decide

To act upon

Our skinning

Of

The

Planet

Shows if we are

Archeologists

Or

Excavators.

One preserves

What has come

Before

For the future

To see

What marvels

Lay

Underneath

Our

Living

Planet,

While the other

Simply

Digs

Until

We hit

Rock

Bottom.
