Mammoth And Man Are Two Beings With Much In Common
Let us walk amongst
Our past,
Letting history
Unfold in our minds,
And before our eyes,
As we live in the moments
We never knew.
Let us look for answers in
The world
And its
Compendium,
Teaching us the mapped
Out ways that
We can stand on the Earth
As we are,
Based on events
We surmise,
From eons
Ago.
Just as a mammoth
Once roamed,
We too are roaming
This world,
In search
Of something
Unknown.
What are we but
Roamers,
Nomadically
Sifting
Through history
For answers
To the trajectory
We may be on?
Are we predictors,
Look to infer
The future
Based on the actions
And events of the past?
Mammoths
May have thought
The same thing,
And now they’ll never
Know
What was to come
And what has
Been.
Eyes,
A brain,
Feet
And all,
Mammoth
And man
Are two beings
With much in common,
And two
Of many,
In the world
That we strolled
And stroll,
Searching,
For
More.
