What's your story?

SAMURAI: Complete Edition

SAMURAI: Complete Edition

You must be strong.

Because if not you,
Who?

There is no time to be strong,
Because you must never stop.

Strength is never a guide
Or an answer,
But a part of what makes
Us not only survive
But thrive.

There's a certain
Sense
Of
Strength
That comes from inaction.

But there's the strength
Of a coursing river
When you do
Act.

But don't act,
Be.

Take action,
Not reaction.

Honor is among us
But thieves are too.

I guess there is honor
Among thieves
Too.

Do battles happen for
Blood
Or
For
Honor?

A battle for two
Is a recipe
Of disaster
For one.

Even the most physical
Of battles
Requires
Mental
Maneuvers.

I only wish
I knew
What to think
Of battle
When something
Sheds
At the end of every,
Single,
One.

Tears
Or blood,
They're all the same:

Shedding.

Time will tell,
But if you dwell
It'll be nothing but
Mystery
For the life to come.

Defending your honor
Is protecting your
Loved,
And
Loves,
And
Lovers.

A samurai
Does not bend
Nor
Break.

A samurai does not test
Or jest.

A samurai is strong.

A blade will never cut
The way words do.
The way people are.

A slice must be clean,
But there is no such
Thing as the perfect
Pie.

And that's ok,
Because we shall all be
Ok,
Okay?

I think of the shine
Of the sword,
The sound of air
Being cut
Like cheese,
But the smell
Of cut air
Surely can't compare
To the sliced cheese
Before our eyes
On a plate
So clean
You'd wonder
Why you're making
It so dirty
With your stinky
Cheese.

Say cheese,
But don't let words
Cut
Deeper than the
Sword.

We do not fight out of
Fear.

For
Honor.

We do not shed for
Fun.

For
Honor.

We are not strong for
Practice.

For
Honor.

We are not tested for
Nothing.

For
Honor.

We are not disciplined for
Recognition.

For
Honor.

Our compass is not moral for
Show.

For
Honor.

Be strong
For life's sake,
And
The sake of life,
And
Sake.

The warmth of strength
And syrup
Is greater than
The cold
Of
War
And
Weeping.

Bodies seeping:

Sweat.

Tears.

Blood.

Fear.

No fear,
A samurai is here.

His name isn't
Jack,
Or
Jill,
Or
Even
Dill
Like pickle
Rick.

It's
You
And
Me
And
Us
And
Him
And
Her
And
Them
And
It.

A samurai
Is so much more
Than
Just
Honor,
Morality,
And
Discipline.

A warrior
Fights,
A samurai
Upholds.

A warrior
Sheds
Their skin,
A samurai
Grows
Theirs.

The warrior
Battles,
The samurai
Defends.

Warriors
Roar,
Samurais
Speak.

Warriors
Bleed,
Samurais
Protect.

Samurais
Bow,
Warriors
Break.

Samurais
Ascend,
Warriors
Fall.

To
The
Ground
All must go,
But choosing
What's before
Is the
Difference.

Ascendance
Is
Transcendence,
And
Peace
Is
Everywhere.

You just have
To
Look
Hard
Enough.

Good deeds
Go unnoticed.

By design,
Morality
Should be our
Compass.

Instead…

Good morals
Are
Considered
Rare.

There is nothing
Rare
About
Being
A
Samurai.

A samurai
Isn't someone who wears
Armor
And holds a
Katana.

It's someone who defends
All forms of
Loving,
Living,
Doing,
Being.

A samurai is strong
For a purpose,
Not for a cause.

Causes
Have
Purposes,
And the root
Of a cause
Is to act
With purpose.

Guidance is a funny
Concept.

Are we really in need of it,
Or do others just give it
Us
As we do
To
Others?

My sword
Is my
Mind.

My kimono
Is my
Values.

The inner layer
Is complex,
The outer,
A
Complexity.

My clothes
Are
Immaterial
Wealth
That I cling
To my body.

My fortune
Is in my
Heart.

My sword
Does not guide me,
My mind does.

My layers
Can shed,
Can change,
Can damage,
Can be cut,
But they will always be
My
Values.

My values hold true,
They are what guide
Me
Through.

Through and through,
Always stay
True,
To who you are:

Beautifully,
Honorably,
You.

You are a samurai:
Find your fight,
Get your sword,
Choose your kimono,
And
Let
The
Journey
Commence.
