I've forgotten how to smile today.
Maybe it's the act of moving my mouth at all.
Or perhaps it's the way to make me feel
Warmth
In the
Cold.
The day begins with a smile,
But today it was missing.
But nothing felt
Quite as missing
As my heart beating in my chest,
But not being there.
My heart is elsewhere,
And perhaps
That's the beauty of our bodies.
My heart beats here,
But it doesn't feel
Like it's
Anywhere.
It's often what we miss
That finds us our
Answers.
We ask questions about
Where home is,
And the answer seems
To be
Where the heart
Is.
So,
Then,
Where is home
When our heart
Wanders more
Than
We
Do?
We wonder,
Ponder,
And squander,
But
The heart
Wants
What
The
Heart
Wants.
My heart must have
Stopped
At the park
And put itself
In
Park.
Because
The trees
Are
Billowing
Everywhere,
And every
Dollar
Bill
Is flying too,
Saying:
Goodbye
My heart,
Hello my soul.
What is your goal?
Finding my heart,
Or searching for yours
Too?
Mine isn't near me,
But yours is
Located
Inside you.
You just have to look.
Look at the past
To determine the warmth
Of your
Smile
For the
Infinite ahead.
I've not forgotten how to smile.
I just can't stop remembering,
How much we have to walk the extra
Mile.
